As naming ceremonies go, that which acompanied the naming of lowly 08 633 as 'The Sorter' at Crewe Diesel Depot on 11 October 1991 took some beating! A trumpet fanfare provided a colourful spectacle whilst the young girl who had chosen the name performed the naming. This was the finale to the launch of Rail Express Systems to the world that day with 90 020 also the recepient of a naming ceremony earlier the same day as 'Colonel Bill Cockburn'.
