Watched by a group of young train-spotters, a Class 108 diesel multiple-unit sets back into Platform 3 at Stafford station to form the 10.08 shuttle-service for Crewe on 22nd June 1985, during the period of a major remodelling which necessitated the partial closure of Crewe station for several months.
