Phoenix RPC Exhibition Part 3

The 13.25 Sligo to Dublin, hauled by a General Motors 071 class Co-Co locomotive, arriving at Dromod in August, 2003.    Dromod, a pretty village situated on the River Shannon which the railway crosses a mile or two north of the station, was where the standard, 5'3" gauge line, met the narrow gauge Caval and Leitrim railway.   A section of this has been revived and both diesel and steam hauled trains run for some half mile from Dromod.
